This garden surrounds its Californian Bungalow home with a firmly Australian flavour.
The front garden references Edna Walling, with random Castlemaine slate paving and a soft mix of natives and exotics. ‘Edna Walling’ cultivars have been used to pay homage to this iconic designer.
The back garden was built around 3 lovely existing trees – Red Flowering Gum (Eucalyptus leucoxylon), Native Frangipani (Hymenosporum flavum) and Coral Gum (Eucalyptus torquata). It flows around a curved area of random Castlemaine slate paving. Established some years earlier, it is planted predominantly with natives and has a modern feel. There is also a small produce garden supplying summer herbs and tomatoes.
